The response and the intrinsic time resolution of the large BaF2 array at VECC
- 1. Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, Kolkata (India)
- 2. UGC Research Fellow, Burdwan Univ., Burdwan (India)
Description
The large BaF2 array (50 elements) at VECC has been completed and is ready for operation. Here, the resolution and linearity of the individual detectors using the 137Cs, 22Na, 60Co, 241Am-9Be radioactive sources have been reported. The intrinsic time resolution of a single BaF2 detector, measured with respect to another similar module using a 60Co standard gamma ray source is also reported
