Studying the properties of the IRT reactor measuring fuel assemblies
Description
Results of investigation into metrologic (static and dynamic) characteristics of the IRT-2M type measuring fuel assemblies are presented. The fuel assembly equipped with 18-thermoelectric converters mounted on three fuel elements for temperature monitoring is used. Seven additional converters for the coolant temperature measurement over the core height are installed at the fourth (replaceable) fuel element. Based on the obtained data analysis a conclusion is drawn concerning the fact that the fuel assembly investigated is a multifunctional measuring device allowing one to conduct a complex analysis of reactor core state and increasing sufficiently the reactor operation safety and efficiency
