Metallogenic regularities and metallogenic prognosis of uranium in Maquan Basin, Yujiang County, Jiangxi Province

Description
The Maquan volcanic basin is located in middle of the uranium mineralization belt of Ganhang, adjacent to Shengyuan uranium ore field in the east and Dongxiang mineralization concentration area in the west. One uranium deposit, three uranium deposits and four uranium mineralization sites have been found in the area, which can be subdivided into interlayer fracture zone subtype, dense fracture zone subtype and volcanic sedimentary classic rock subtype. By analyzing the characteristics of uranium mineralization in this area, it is concluded that although the host rocks of uranium mineralization are different, the characteristics of hydrothermal mineralization are very obvious. It's restricted by the regional unified tectonic-volcanic magma-hydrothermal fluid activity, and the genetic mechanism and ore-controlling elements of the deposit are basically the same. The volcano-sedimentary rocks in Late Jurassic are the main uranium source layer, the second paragraph of Daguding group, the second and third paragraph of Ehuling group are the main ore layer. NW and NE basement rift are rock-controlling and ore-controlling fault, and the intersection of the two controls the distribution of uranium mineralization concentration area in Maquan. NW and NE faults, interlaminar fracture zone, secondary faults or fracture groups are the main ore-bearing structures. On the basis of data collation and comprehensive study, combined with field geological survey and geophysical and geochemical survey results, the regularity of uranium mineralization in this area is summarized, and two pieces of uranium minerogenic prospect areas are delineated.
