Microstructure and mechanical properties of non-equilibrium solidified CoCrFeNi high entropy alloy
- 1. State Key Laboratory of Solidification Processing, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, Shaanxi, 710072 (China)
Description
Highlights: • CoCrFeNi HEA weighing about 100 g is undercooled up to 300 K. • BCC structured Cr-rich phase is observed in undercooled CoCrFeNi HEA. • Strong enhancement of hardness and strength of undercooled CoCrFeNi HEA is proved. • Supercooling method is turned to be useful to improve HEAs' mechanical properties.
