Updating of sector standard ON 83 0871 - Quality of cooling water of steam power plants
Description
New Sector Standard ON 83 0871 ''Quality of cooling water of steam power plants'' was issued for water used for cooling purposes in conventional and nuclear power plants and heating plants in Czechoslovakia. The individual parts of the document are described in detail, which are concerned mainly with technical specifications of the cooling water quality. As against the previous standard, the specifications have been formulated taking the current state of technical development into consideration, and the standard was completed with the monitoring of materials posing a danger of deposit formation and excessively corroding structural materials. It is expected that the standard will remain in force until 1995, this in view of the current potential and development of water processing methods, the quality of water resources, and the possibility of dosing suitable chemicals added into cooling circuits.
