Description
Rapid chemical syntheses of D-[1-11C]glucopyranose and D-[1-11C]galactopyranose starting from D-arabinopyranose and D-lyxopyranose, respectively, are described. The use of diborane for reduction of intermediates is highly effective for reducing the time required. (author)
