Lamellar oxychlorides MBiO2Cl
Description
Compounds of MBiO2Cl composition with M=Ca, Sr, Ba, Pb, Li1/2Bi1/2 Na1/2Bi1/2 with a laminated structure derived from BiOCl as well as PbBiO2F with La2O3 type structure are prepared by solid-phase reactions between BiOCl(F) and oxides or carbonates of the corresponding elements. Thermal stability of these compounds, their ability to hydrolysis as well as peculiarities of change of the unit cell volume depending on dimensions and nature of M2+ cations are studied
