Description
The effects of deep cultivation-root cutting on nitrogen distribution and utilization and yield in dry land wheat have been studied in field. The results showed that the best effect obtained from 4 treatments by deep cultivation-root cutting in before winter stage, more nitrogen absorbed was distributed in kernel and less in root system. The utilization ratio and loss ratio of fertilizer nitrogen increased, the remainder ratio in soil and recovery ratio of fertilizer nitrogen decreased, and the grain yield increased. However, the opposite effects of the deep cultivation-root cutting was found in before winter stage and start stage and in control. So the technology of deep cultivation-root cutting in before winter stage should be used in dry land for high yield wheat
