Damage of first wall materials at plasma disruptions
Description
The calculation of temperature distribution in solid phase of the first wall of Al, Ni, 316 type steel and Mo for different residence time of the molten layers on first wall surface, which is considered as a heat source, has been made. Analytical solution obtained is used to calculate thermal stresses and to evaluate the layer thickness, in which thermal stresses exceed the material ultimate strength. For aluminium base alloys, strengthened by spherical particles of the second phase, the thickness of layer, in which intensive coagulation during plasma disruptions takes place, is determined
