Description

The zirconium distribution was studied in the TsM-6 molybdenum alloy using an original technique of X-ray spectral analysis of thin surface layers of specimen fractures. An experimental proof of a zirconium segregation along the boundaries of grains of the TsM-6 molybdenum alloy has been obtained. The segregation depends on the annealing temperature and the alloy cooling rate. After annealings in the range of temperatures between 1400-1600 deg C, the solid solution along the boundaries of grains disintegrates with the precipitation of carbides
