Description
Using the technique of electron spectrometry and the synchrotron radiation of the storage ring ACO, the photoionization of helium has been investigated between 69 and 150 eV. The probability to leave the residual ion in the n = 2 excited state has been measured as a function of photon energy. The absolute partial photoionization cross section for this process has been determined and found to be in good agreement with recent Multiconfigurational Many-Body Calculations
