Comparative clinical characteristics of the methods for digoxin microassay

A comparative characteristic of the methods for radioimmunological and immunofermental control of supporting therapy is given and the mechanisms of digoxin tolerance in cases of treatment of 89 patients with circulatory insufficiency are investigated. Pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated on the basis of bilocular mathematical model following the intravenous injection of 0.5 mg of digoxin. The absence of substantial differences in the methods under consideration is shown but a certain preference is given to the method of immunofermental analysis as it is convenient to be used for the daily control of the glycoside level in case of supporting therapy and investigations of the preparation pharmacokinetics
