New approach to the D-D fusion realization
Description
The work on the fusion reaction initiation by means of colliding macroparticles, accelerated up to high rates, performed at the Brookhaven National Laboratory (USA) is discussed. Heavy water one charged clusters (D2O)ND+ (further (D20)N) accelerated in the Cockroft-Walltone type reactor up to the energies of the order of 300 kev (i.e. up to∼ 102 km/s rates) are used as colliding particles. A plate of deuterized titanium (TiD) (with high saturation degree) is used as bombarded target. The fact of recording energetic protons of thermonuclear origing, produced under TiD-target bombardment by accelerated (D2O)N clusters, appears to be earnestly proved
