Monte-Carlo calculation for the beam loss monitor system of NSRL storage ring

Description
An electron with high energy produces a shower of particles when striking a target. The new Beam Loss Monitoring System (BLM System) on the HLS ring in NSRL yields the beam losses information by detecting the shower particles produced by beam electrons, which strike the vacuum chamber. The distribution of charged particles leaving the beam pipe is calculated with EGS4 Monte-Carlo program. The results will guide the installation of BLM detectors, and are also helpful to the application of them to machine study
