Performance of the vertex detectors at LEP2 On behalf of the LEP Vertex Detector groups
Creators
Description
All four LEP experiments are equipped with vertex detectors based on silicon microstrip sensors. Most of them were upgraded to meet the requirements of LEP2, having the Higgs boson search as a prime target. This article reviews these detectors and focuses on their performances at LEP2. Aspects concerning alignment and geometrical stability are also discussed. (author)
