Description
The radiolysis products of 6-aminopenicillanic acid (6-APA) and potassium salt of benzylpenicillin G, irradiated with γ-rays were separated by the extraction methods and chromatographically by the thin-layer method. On the basis of the IR and UV spectroscopic investigations as well as by the NMR and mass spectrometry methods of the radiolysis products, the paths of the radiation decomposition of 6-APA and of penicillin G were determined.
