Comparative measurements of background gamma dose rate using PMS stations, thermoluminescence dosemeters and GAMMA-TRACER

Description

The work describes comparative studies of gamma-radiation monitoring systems. All systems: PMS, GAMMA-TRACER (based on G-M counter) and ACARD (based on thermoluminescence detector) exhibited capability of background gamma radiation monitoring. The systems were successfully tested by simulated increase of radiation level. Authors conclude that Institute of Nuclear Physics in Cracow is fully capable gamma radiation monitoring by three independent systems
