Description

Ecological irradiation (lambda>300 nm) on the DNA in the presence of supposed endogenous sensitizers - the products of l-tryptophan and kinurenin oxidation has been studied. Revealed were formation of neutral thymin radicals at 77 K and their transformation into radicals of hydroxyde type in the presence of oxygen at 183 K. The action of long wave ultraviolet radiation in the prosence of sensitizers was analogous to that of the short wave ultraviolet radiation on the DNA, excluding the fact that in the latter case the ion-radicals of the DNA bases formed along with the neutral thymin radicals
