Wide gap spark chambers for cosmic experiments

  • 1. Academy of Sciences of the Georgian SSR, Tbilisi (USSR)

Description

Different types of wide-gap spark chambers developed for nuclear-physical studies of cosmic rays are described. They are characterized by small disruptive voltage, minimum requirement for gas purity, at conservation of both measuring abilities and effectiveness of many particle registration when area of spark chambers is some square meters. Technological and physical parameters of spark chambers, methods of photographing and elimination of high voltage pulse noise on the sensitive electric instruments are given
