Sum rules and Steinvedel - Jensen modified model

Description
A general expression for a transient charge density (TCD) is obtained with the use of the TCD sum rules, which is in agreement with predictions of the simple Steinvedel-Jensen model (SSJ), if rho(r) approximately const., and of the Tassi model, if the wave number, k → 0. To check up the predictions of a modified Steinvedel-Jensen model (MSJ), the form factor is calculated corresponding to excitation of an octupole transition with the energy, epsilon=3.74 MeV, in a 40Ca nucleus. The r-dependence of the TCD of 40Ca nuclei is given. The MSJ is seen to have better described the experimental data than the SSJ
