The analysis of valences of Np using extraction method
- 1. China Inst. of Atomic Energy, Beijing (China)
Description
The contents of the Np(IV), Np(V) or Np(VI) can be analysed by two kinds of extractant: TTA and TOPO. The aqueous phase containing the mixture of Np(IV), Np(V), and Np(VI) is controlled at 1.0 mol/1 HNO3. Np(IV) is only quantitatively extracted by TTA organic phase, Np(IV) and Np(VI) are all quantitatively extracted by TOPO organic phase. Np(V) is remained in the aqueous phase after TOPO extraction. So that, it is easy to calculate the content and percentage of Np(IV), Np(V) or Np(VI), respectively
