Optical properties of laminated crystals of cadmium haloid compounds
Description
Optical properties of pure and activated crystals of cadmium halides are considered. The data on photo-, X-ray-and cathodoluminescence are presented. The luminescence centres related to dimensional defects of a crystalline structure are typical of such crystals along with activator luminescence centres. It has been shown that depending on the crystal orientation the intensity of cathodoluminescence is elaborately connected with the energy of exciting electrons
