Description

Pegmatite belt of the south-eastern margin of the Baltic shield is described. Geochemical peculiarities of granitoid rocks and pegmatites, their mineral composition as well as formation peculiarities are presented. Results of determination concerning the radiological age of minerals from granitoid rocks and pegmatites of the shield, mentioned above, are given. Zircon age was determined by Rb/Rb-method; biotite, muscovite and hornblend age - by K-Ar-method. It is shown, that in the result of analysis of the Upper-Archean magmatism of the Baltic shield south-eastern margin, multistage character and completeness of granite formation processes, which result in redistribution of scattered elements and their accumulation in muscovite - rare metal pegmatites, are determined
