Turbulence measurements at the ASDEX Upgrade tokamak for a comprehensive validation of the gyrokinetic turbulence code GENE
Description
This work reports on comprehensive turbulence measurements in a magnetic confinement fusion plasma. The set of turbulence quantities includes wavenumber spectra of electron density fluctuations, fluctuation amplitudes and correlation lengths of electron density and electron temperature fluctuations and the cross-phase between electron density and temperature fluctuations. These quantities are simultaneously compared to a gyrokinetic code and confirm the validity of present turbulence models.
