Kinetic study on reduction and lloy formation in the W-Ni-Fe system
- 1. AN Ukrainskoj SSR, Kiev. Inst. Problem Materialovedeniya
Description
X-ray diffraction and spectrum microanalysis were used to investigate the peculiarities of alloy formation processes during simultaneous reduction of mechanical mixture of oxygen containing tungsten, nickel and iron compounds and subsequent hydrogen annealing at 700-1450 deg C. It is established that additions of iron group elements accelerate WO3 reduction which simplifies alloy formation process in the W-Ni-Fe system. Element distribution in the W-Ni-Fe alloy is studied. Concentration enrichment with nickel and iron of phase constituents in zones, adjoining structural interfaces is detected
