Which cultural memory for the Fessenheim nuclear plant? Several lines of thought

As the first generation of nuclear reactors is becoming technically obsolete, and as therefore always more reactors will be decommissioned during the next years, the author first proposes an overview of situations in which atom has been memorialised and turned into heritage in France and in the world: case of atom production sites, of technological museums and information centres. He also highlights the emergence of dystopian narratives. Then, he addresses the specific case of Fessenheim to more particularly discuss the meaning of a cultural memory associated with a site.
