Operation with magnetic field and detection of VCN beam, and application for VCN to physics experiment
Description
Neutrons with wavelength λ beyond ∼20A are called very cold neutrons (VCN). The VCN beam is often used for the high-precision measurements by the neutron spin-echo method or interferometer because of the character of its long wavelength, where the technique operating and detecting VCN for compensating the low intensity of the VCN beam takes the key role. In this report, we discuss the operation of the VCN beam with the spatially alternating field and the correlated spin flips, and the detection of VCN with the imaging device based on the neutron scintillator.
