Effect of exogenous DNA on colony-forming capacity and sub-population composition of irradiated mouse bone marrow

Description
With short-term (30 min) combined incubation in vitro of DNA and bone-marrow cells of (C57B1xCBA)F1 mice a cytotoxic effect of the polymer was established according to vitality of cells, changes in their subpopulation composition and capacity to form splenic exocolonies. It was demonstrated that the cells of the erythroid series are the most sensitive to cytopathogenic effect of DNA. The effect is enhanced immediately after X-irradiation of bone marrow in situ in a dose of 8 Gy, the concentration of the DNA preparation in the suspension being increased and high polymeric fraction content elevated
