Experimental models influence of phagocytosis after irradiation induced immunosuppression
Description
Indicators of phagocytosis after application of different ionizing radiation doses have been followed in experimental models. The higher radioresistance of phagocyte mechanisms of defence compared to humoral and cell components of immune response has been demonstrated. Correlation dependency between the functional condition of the phagocyte system and the level of circulating immune complexes in the serum has been shown. The obtained data can be used as criteria for assessment of the damaging effect of ionizing radiation upon the organism and for defying the opportunities of different drug applications, particularly in experimentation of different immunostimulating drugs that influence the phagocytosis
