Description
We show how to calculate the minijet contribution to the total e+e- cross section. We take care to include the possibility of multiple parton collisions in the γγ→jets subprocess, using a new eikonalization procedure which is valid for all minijet calculations where the subprocess to be eikonalized is embedded inside a large process. Our results show that previous calculations of the size of the minijet 'background' in ultra high energy e+e- colliders are considerable overestimates. (orig.)
