400 kV/10 mA power supply for deuteron accelerator

Description

Accelerators designed for neutron production by D D or D T reactions require high voltage power supplies ranging from about 150 kV to 600 kV and current capacity from few mA to about 20 mA. Such a power supply of 400 kV and 10 mA current rating along with a (2 x 200 kV) isolation transformer cascading structure has been developed and installed for fusion blanket neutronic studies at Purnima laboratories of Neutron Physics Division, BARC, Mumbai.
