Description

The nine speakers in this session included representatives from the Chinese Government, the Governments of developed and developing countries, engineering and technology providers, technology experts and the banking sector. These speakers related their experiences and focused on China's need to continue to use coal as its principal source of energy while reducing emissions from existing and future coal combustion sources. There are several common themes and conclusions that can be drawn from this session; they are summarized. (R.P.)
