Safeguards training programme and facilities at the Joint Research Centre

A number of special dedicated test and training facilities have been established at the Joint Research Centre, together with a comprehensive training programme in the areas of non-destructive assay, mass and volume determinations, sealing and identification, surveillance and monitoring techniques and data evaluation and accountancy. The training programmes at the JRC cover the following areas: non-destructive assay techniques; analytical techniques; sealing/identification and surveillance/monitoring techniques; materials accountancy and statistics; plant oriented training, including physical inventory exercises. 7 refs
