Distribution of the neutron lifetime in a nuclear reactor

  • 1. Institute fpr Nuclear research, Kyiv (Ukraine)

Description

In this paper we consider the stochastic value of the lifetime of neutron ensemble in the reactor whose average is closely related to the reactor period. The thermodynamics enhanced with the lifetime value as an additional thermodynamic parameter is used. This approach, which had been already applied to the description of the neutron energy spectrum in the nuclear reactor (NR), showed correspondence to the experimentally observed results.
