Description

The results of the experimental and theoretical investigations of the delayed neutron (DN) yields in the symmetric fission region are discussed. The symmetric fission fragments have been shown to contribute noticeably to the DN yields at the neutron energy of 15 MeV. Fragment-isotope distribution parameters for 235U and 238U have been calculated at the above neutron energy. The valUe of the DN emission probability for 128In, equals to 2.60+-0.07, is determined. The ratio of cumulative yields for seven pure precursors (87Br, 137I, 88Br, 128I, 93Rb, 89Br, 138I) is calculated for 235U and 238U at the neutron energy of 15 MeV. The results obtained are compared with the data published earlier
