Clinical, hematological and biochemical characteristics of heat, cattle kept for a long time in the 30-km zone after the Chernobyl' NPP accident
Description
The results of studies into delayed effects of thyroid radiation injury for two groups of cows including animals, which are evacuated from the zone with increased radioactive contamination during 2.6 months (the dose absorbed by thyroid amounts to 18-19 krad), and animal being present at the distance of 15-20 km during 4.5 months from the accident moment are discussed. The dose absorbed by thyroid is equal to 27.0-28.0 krad for the second group of animals. The clinical-biological, biochemical. hormone, productive characteristics, breeding abilities and morphological-functional state of thyroid are estimated
