Magnetocrystalline anisotropy of Pr2Fel4B

Description

The saturation magnetization and magnetocrystalline anisotropy of Pr2Fel4B have been studied from magnetization curves of magnetically aligned powders. The saturation magnetization of Pr2Fel4B increases from 1.67 T at 280 K to 1.91 T at 4.2 K with decreasing temperature. The K1 and K2 of Pr2Fel4B decrease linearly with increasing temperature with the ratio of ΔK1=-5.83x104 J/m3 K and ΔK2=-3.5x104 J/m3 K, respectively. The K1 and K2 of Pr2Fel4B at 4.2 K are 22.0x106 and 11.0x106 J/m3, respectively, and those at 280 K are 6.1x106 and 1.0x106 J/m3, respectively
