  • 1. NII Onkologii im. N.N. Petrova Minzdrava RF, Sankt-Peterburg (Russian Federation)

Description

Results of the kidney angiomyolipoma (AML) diagnography using sonography and computerized tomography are discussed. 91 patients were under observation. Sonography was performed using the Aloka-630 and Aloka-650 apparatuses, CT was conducted with the aid of ST-9000N4 device. Is is shown that the expressed sonogeneity due to the adipose tissue prevalence and morphological structure heterogeneity causing considerable reflection, absorption and scattering of sound wave is the most important sonographic sign of AML. CT-picture depends mostly on the adipose tissue percentage
