Evaluation of heating effect on spinel MgAl2O4 synthesis by two common and sol-gel methods

Description
In synthesis by the common method, after milling the Al2O3 and Mg O (in order to getting mixed homogeneity), we heated the samples at three temperatures of 1150, 1300, 1450degC. The analyzing of XRD patterns exhibited that formation of MgAl2O4 spinel occurred at 1450degC. In synthesis by sol-gel method, in which sol is a homogeny solution with high purity, the produced gel of sol was processed by heat treatment at three temperatures; 700, 800 and 900degC. By XRD patterns analysis it was discovered that MgAl2O4 spinel was produced almost completely at 900degC. There are evidences that synthesis powder was in nano scale.
