Studies on the effect of gamma irradiation on the different developmental stages of khapra beetle trogoderma granarium everts
Description
The need for new and better ways of controlling insects in stored grain and grain products is appart when we consider the large losses caused by insects despite current control methods. The need is emphasized by the concern over contamination of food products by some of the pesticides that are used in control programs. Gamma radiation for controlling insects in grain and grain products appears to have some advantages over conventional control methods. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of gamma irradiation on T . granarium which is considered one of the most important insect in Egypt
