Change in substructure and texture of the high-coercive YuNDK35T5BA alloy during bending and upsetting

Description

Changes in substructure and texture of the YuNDK35T5BA type alloys, produced by high-temperature bending and upsetting followed by heat treatment were studied along with the effect of these changes on magnetic properties of the alloys. It is shown that the alloy deformation in the temperature range from 1150 to 1000 deg C is accompanied by the process of dynamic recovery, by refining of the substructure of alloys and by the increase in disorientation of neighbouring subgrains. The alloys preserve a columnar structure after deformation. The study of magnetic properties of the alloys deformed has shown that bent samples have lower residual induction and magnetic energy at practically unchangable coercive force. It has been concluded that in spite lower magnetic properties of the YuND35T5BA deformed alloy high-temperature bending is a promising way for the production of the constant magnets of complex configuration
