Description
The effect of lysine-germanium (Ge401), a novel organo germanium on the natural killer activity (NK-A) in human peripheral blood was studied using 51Cr labelled K562 cells as target cells. Ge401(50, 100 and 200 μg/ml) could augment NK-A(%) from 24.30±6.05 of the control group to 32.52±6.07(p < 0.05), 39.70±7.38(p < 0.01) and 43.42±7.71(p < 0.001) respectively, showing obvious dose-dependence. However, there is no direct influence of Ge401(100 and 200 μg/ml) on 51Cr release rate of K562 leukemia cells
