On the dipole nature of statistical gamma-ray spectra following neutron capture
Description
Some nuclear orientation experiments carried out on the 143Nd(n,#betta#) and 149Sm(n,#betta#) reactions have been reanalysed in the light of the multipole nature of the statistical #betta#-ray spectra of these reactions. The technique used is to determine the reduction of the orientation parameters of the low-lying levels as compared to those of the capturing state. (U.K.)
