Microwave instabilities in Booster and AGS
Creators
- 1. Accelerator Development Dept., Brookhaven National Lab., Upton, NY (USA)
Description
Microwave instabilities is evaluated for the Booster and the AGS for the preparation of the relativistic heavy ion collider. The authors found that the Booster may require feedback system for the transverse instability at the high intensity proton operation. The coherent instability is not important for the nominal RHIC operational intensity
