Search for magnetic monopoles and nuclearites with the MACRO nuclear track detector

Description
In this paper we discuss the search for magnetic monopoles and for nuclearites using the MACRO track-etch subdetector as a stand alone detector. As no candidate was found, 90% C.L. flux upper limits are presented. The global MACRO monopole and nuclearite limits are compared with other limits from different experiments
