Description

A disoriented chiral condensate is a region in space in which the chiral order parameter points in a direction in isospin space which is different from that favored by the true vacuum. In this talk I review some recent work on a proposal by Rajagopal and Wilczek on how relativistic nuclear collisions can generate such domains. (orig.)
