Three-body classical dynamical model calculation of fusion cross section for 6Li + 209Bi reaction involving weakly-bound projectile

  • 1. Department of Physics, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat (India)

Description

Recently, realizing the importance of the target and projectile excitations at distances very close to the barrier, a new 3-Stage Classical Molecular Dynamics (3S-CMD) was developed which could account for the long-range Coulomb re-orientation effect of the deformed nucleus (CRBD-model) as well as account for all the intrinsic degrees of freedom (CMD-model); reducing the computational time and accumulation of numerical errors. In this paper presented are the results of complete fusion cross section calculations for 6Li+209Bi in the 3-body, 3S-CMD approach
