Experimental studies on 99mTc-dimethylphosphinoethane (DPO) liver uptake

Description
The uptake of 99mTc-DPO in the liver was examined after intravenous injection in 12 patients and in animal experiments. After selective injection in 4 mini pigs an extraction of 0.89 is to be calculated. After intravenous injection an uptake of 0.67 in dogs and of 0.93 (of injected dose) in patients was obtained after 60 sec. The uptake in the liver cannot be ihibited by preinjection with bromosulfophthalein. The uptake in patients remains unchanged also in the case of hepatic diseases. (author)
