Comparison of daily variations of cosmic ray geomagnetic thresholds for models of the magnetospheric magnetic field of Tsyganenko

Description

Daily variations in the rigidity of cutting off the vertically falling cosmic rays in the Tsyganenko model of 1989 for Earth various positions on the orbit, which corresponds to various inclination angles of the magnetic dipole axis relative to the Sun-Earth line for several levels of geomagnetic disturbance, are obtained. Comparison of the obtained results with the rigidities in the Tsyganenko model of 1987 is carried out. The calculations were performed at the Moscow, Alma-Ata and Irkutsk stations. 7 refs., 4 figs
