Welding nuclear reactor internals of austenitic stainless steels
Description
A detailed analysis is made of the current possibilities of welding reactor internals of austenitic steels on the example of a BWR. Attention is devoted to the pre-treatment of various types of welded parts before welding, to welding techniques, preparations, inter-crystalline corrosion, heat treatment, methods used for measuring dimensions during welding and after and to the control of welds. The manufacture of reactor internals helps improve the knowledge of the technical and metallurgical aspects of welding austenitic stainless steels. (author)
